About Us
Val has been sewing for over 50 years. Starting out at the age of 6 or 7 with my first “real” sewing machine. By 16 years old, I was making most of my own clothes and doing hems and simple alterations for my mom’s friends. Schooling and on the job training brought Men’s Tailoring, Alterations and Bridal Design into my Life. Then in 1983, just moving to New Ulm, not knowing anyone, perused the Community Ed. schedule, took my first Quilting Class. After many years of sewing for other people, I opened the Quilt Shop in 2008.
Fun things in the shop
Block of the Month, Bed size quilts, Lap size quilts, wall hangings, table runners. Look to us for ideas for your next project.
